OUR STORY
From a Campsite Problem to a Global Mission
It started with a simple problem: laundry tethers you. To the grid, to hookups, to laundromats. Our founder, Amar, just wanted a way to wash clothes while off-grid. He built 'The Wanderer' and solved his problem.
But in doing so, he discovered a much bigger one: 5 billion people worldwide wash clothes by hand, a 20-hour/week burden that disproportionately falls on women and girls. We realized one product wasn't enough. Our 'convenience' product for campers could be a 'freedom' product for millions.
This discovery shaped our 'Dual Mission' and led to our full ecosystem: The 'Dash' for ultimate portability and the 'Basecamp' for eco-friendly city living. We are 'Laundry Unplugged,' and we're here to provide freedom, whether you're off-grid by choice or by circumstance.

Ramanathan is our operational powerhouse who takes the Laundry Unplugged mission from a blueprint to a physical reality, ensuring every washer is delivered flawlessly, from an apartment in the city to a village partner off the grid.
